yOUTH | Sabbath + Serve
Sabbath and service. Two words you might be familiar with, but these are actions that God cares deeply about. Work and Sabbath exist in a balance. To kick off youth activities in the fall we are going to explore sabbath by tubing down the Saluda River and service through volunteering at Transitions Homeless Shelter. Join us!
Sabbath
Want to enjoy in some intentional sabbath away from screens with your friends?
Come tube the Saluda River with Lucas and Dawn and the DOWNTOWN CHURCH yOUTH!
What: River Tubing
Who: 6-12th grade yOUTH (friends welcome)
When: Sunday, September 13th at 2 PM
Where: Meet at Cayce River Walk
How much: $25 (payable online, we will email you a link to pay after you register here)
*If cost is a deterrent, please reach out to Lucas (lucas@downtownchurch.me)
Why: To have time for fellowship and rest in the grace of the natural world for a few hours
Registration closes September 4th at noon.

*Those registered will be required to fill out a liability waiver and Medical Form.
*Event is weather dependent.
*Mask required during shuttle ride to the put in.
Serve
The yOUTH of DOWNTOWN CHURCH will have the opportunity to serve lunch at Transitions Homeless Shelter for two Sundays in a row: 9/20, and 9/27 are FULL. Check back here soon for future opportunities!
