WORSHIP | What's Next
Downtowners,
Last Sunday at 6:46 am we had our first sunrise service on our church back porch. The weather was cool, the breeze was quiet and the geese flew overhead at just the right moment. The gathering felt safe and we want to meet in person again soon.
The Session and staff are committed to finding creative and safe solutions for worship.
Here is what you can expect for the next 4 weeks:
August 23 | Worship in the World Podcast :: Go for a walk, drive or mow the lawn as you worship.
August 30 | Worship in the World Podcast :: Listen as you drive to Central Energy if you'd like to witness the baptisms of Lola Rose Gillespie and Charlie Mac Foster out in front of the church. You can stay in your car and watch the baptisms between 9:30 am - 9:40 am and you can receive a safely wrapped communion as you drive by the building anytime between 10:00 - 11:00 am. You can also drop an offering or a prayer request in our drive-by prayer box.
September 6 | Worship in the World Podcast :: Listen in a hammock or on jog
September 13 | Live Worship on the back Lawn at 8:30 AM and Worship in the World Podcast
The service will be shorter than usual and we won't have any congregational singing. Masks are required. Check your email in the coming weeks for a worship FAQ and registration.
Things are happening this fall. If you haven't seen our workshops, wilderness trips, youth and other programming, check it out here.
Peace,
DTC Session + staff
