Bible Study Fall 2024
What does it mean to be a follower of Jesus? And what does it mean to be church? We're going to think about these questions by learning about the first people who identified as Jesus-followers in the middle of the 1st century. Over 14 weeks between August 20 and November 19, we'll be delving into the killer drama in the Book of Acts.
You'll learn more about the weird stuff that happened at Pentecost, brawls in Jerusalem, St. Paul's Eras Tour, and a ton of other nail-biting stories.
Important things to know about DTC Bible Study:
A study guide will be available to pick up at the church on August 11 & August 18. We meet upstairs at Central Energy on Tuesdays, from 12-1:15pm.

Adult Confirmation
Every spring, we enable our young folks to learn all about our faith, its history and richness, and the questions it invites us to explore. But learning isn't just for teenagers! We've heard some adults expressing a little envy of the youth's opportunity to delve into the Christian tradition.
So, we're going to offer a similar, adult-sized version of the same program!
Over three Sunday evenings, from October 20 to November 3, we'll be talking about some of the deepest questions that Christian leaders and thinkers have considered. We'll be gathering at Central Energy from 2:00-3:30 pm, from Sunday, October 27 – Sunday, November 17, to learn about what Christian folks have said about God, creation, Jesus' humanity, our redemption, the church, the Bible, and the sacraments. And you'll get a chance to figure out what you think about all of that stuff, too.
The cost is $15 to cover food and supplies, register below by October 8th.
We’ve been told to Love God with our hearts, souls, and minds. At DOWNTOWN CHURCH we work hard to stretch our oftentimes stubborn minds in our exploration of God and one another.
We’ve found that books, both biblical and not, are great places to start. We read books, drink coffee, talk, and listen. Guided by the wisdom of others we watch and see the ways the Holy Spirit shows up and walks alongside us in our own rocky paths of transformation.
