The Definitive Gift List for Downtowners: Part 1 of 2
Following up on yesterday's post about gift giving, this definitive list of gifts for Downtowners was curated by the staff and crew of Downtown Church for your pleasure. This is our stuff so know that we're not guessing on the inherent goodness of any of these gifts. Check back later this week for five more goodies to give your boo or buddy. In no particular order, here they are:
Downtown Church staff stays hydrated with Peanut M&M's. You never remember to pick up a bag at the store, but you're so happy to discover that someone else did. Know what we mean? 56 oz bags from Sams are a great gift and deserve to be wrapped up with the same enthusiasm and care as any other gift.

Spotify is our friend. We discover new music for worship, set up playlists for the office, and take it in the car on long rides to lunch. A premium account is worth the $10 dollars considering you get instant access to 15 million songs.

B by Sarah Kay who we referenced in a blog post way back is beautifully illustrated and artfully written. Sarah Kay is a spoken word poet and she first performed B, a poem from a mother to her daughter, righthere. Go watch it, and then buy the book.

Pound for Pound Coffee - Powered by Downtown Church: Get your coffee snob 1/2 pounds of premium fresh roasted Ethiopian Yergacheffe for $10.50 and feed 6 kids in the Horn of Africa where a drought and subsequent famine are displacing families and taking the lives of children. If we meet our goal of shipping 330 orders, we'll feed one child for an entire year.

Portrait Day - with Downtown Church artist in residence David Asiamah: $97 for a custom portrait is a deal. It's even better considering you won't have to leave home. Get a shot of yourself for the truly self indulgent or give the gift to your sister who is always complaining about not having her camera. Hurry up though, space is limited and David has an eye for making the ordinary sublime.
