HarborGood 2.0

Every one of us has our own set of unique talents, resources and goods at our fingertips. Let's put those to work for DOWNTOWN CHURCH through harborGood. HarborGood provides DTC and other non-profits with a marketplace on the internet where our community can exchange things of value. DTC has pioneered harborGood and shown that your goods transform into much appreciated money directly into our account.

Over the last several months, the team at harborGood has updated and innovated their website to make it even easier to transform not only goods- but also rentals and services. Here are some ideas:

• Do you own your own business? Use the site as a great way to get your name out to the community as a business that supports important causes.
• Would you like to offer to wrap presents with your family or petsit for someone? Get your kids involved.
• If you can bake or teach piano or make furniture or perhaps you can paint -- Post It!
• Do you have a vacation rental property you can donate or a fabulous backyard to host a party? Someone will pay to use your space.

This is a win-win. You get rid of your stuff, buy some really neat new stuff, make a donation to DTC and did I mention it is a tax deduction for the donor? Kickoff is at church on Dec. 6th.
