Beatboxers and Chamber Choirs

The music at Downtown Church isn’t ordinary by church standards. For example, the last two weeks selections from Roxette, Steve Winwood, and Green Day made it into worship. So far, we’ve only explored the possibility of blending popular music with a worship environment. We haven’t yet attempted to mix genres. But the day will come when our House DJ “Bobby Sweatt” is setting a back beat for Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee.

Somehow (an abundance of talent helps), music was made in an unlikely collaboration between beatboxers and a chamber choir.
