LEARN | Remember That Baptism
“Relying on God’s grace, do you promise to live the Christian Faith, to embody hearts of service and love, and to teach that faith to your child?
Do you, as members of the church of Jesus Christ, promise to guide, support, and nurture this child? Through words and actions, with love and prayer, will you encourage him/her to know and follow Christ and empower him/her to be a faithful member of the church?”
Do you remember hearing these questions?
Remember saying “I do” or “we do” enthusiastically while you sipped your coffee?
So…. How do we actually fulfill our promises? How do we encourage the children of our church to follow Christ in our daily lives at home? How do we nurture, love, and guide our children in the difficult times in which we live?
Join DOWNTOWN CHURCH in a two part dinner series where we try to tackle these questions together.
This is a two part commitment, we will provide dinner and childcare to make sure you can come to both.
