Last spring a dozen or so of our youth volunteered with Homeworks to repair a wheelchair ramp for a neighbor in Columbia.

For some of us, it was our first time using power tools. For some it was our first time visiting a new neighborhood, and for all of us it was a time of service, fellowship, and learning a little bit about what it means to be followers of Jesus and believers in the good news of the Gospel.

Well… we’re doing it again. And this time, we are going to be fixing a ROOF! No, that wasn’t a dog who jumped on the keyboard, we will be replacing a single story roof of a neighbor in need here in Columbia. 

When: October 23rd (anticipating a cloudy 60 degree day)
Where: Columbia TBD
Who: Youth and Skilled Adults. Youth must be 13 and older. At least 6 skilled adults are needed to make this happen

*There will be plenty of work to do both on and off the roof. So if heights aren’t your thing please still sign up and help us with this huge project!
