PALM SUNDAY | Shorties

Palm Sunday is coming up.

On March 28, 2021, we celebrate Palm Sunday. It's the day we remember Jesus walking into Jerusalem toward his death. Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week. Easter is just one week away.

The band invites any and all shorties (ages: 4-11) to join them on our outdoor stage (masks on) to sing the song "He Never Said a Mumbling Word" during our 10 AM worship on Palm Sunday. 

Parents: 
When you listen to the song, help your kids practice singing the line "Not a word, not a word, not a word." That's their part. The DTC musicians will lead the other words in between. If you kids have questions about why Jesus had to die or why he didn't say anything on his way into Jerusalem, that's a good sign! Your kid(s) are smart and curious and faith is being shared. If you want support in talking with your kids, feel free to reach out to Trina (trina@downtownchurch.me), Lucas (lucas@downtownchurch.me) and/or Dawn (dawn@downtownchurch.me) to have meaningful conversations with your kids about Jesus' death and resurrection. Ms. Trina and Ms. Angel will be teaching about Palm Sunday during DTK that day.

The song is simple so we won't meet up for rehearsal between now and then. All you've got to do is practice the song with your kid and let us know to expect you by filling out the form below.
