The Holy Spirit moves and interrupts life. The most current interruption has come to me in the form of a hospital in Dallas, Texas. You may have heard of it: Parkland Hospital. Parkland Hospital has offered me a job as the Manager of Spiritual Care and Education. But they need me soon. My last Sunday here is December 1, 2019.
Paul and I moved to Columbia, SC nine years ago from north east Texas for me to pursue a specific training in hospital chaplaincy education. We knew the training would take 3-5 years for me to complete. Upon its completion, we assumed we would return home to somewhere in Texas. Over the nine years we have been here, we have grown to love Columbia, SC because of the people. You are the people we have grown to love. Out of the love we experienced, we began to assume we would always remain here and raise our daughter, Reagan, as a Carolina girl!
And then the Holy Spirit moved and has interrupted our plans. The Holy Spirit will be with us and with all those we love here in Columbia, as we go.
