Courage (God & Libbie)

John 16:33

“I have said this to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you face persecution. But take courage; I have conquered the world!”

Being a Christian takes courage. It takes courage to forgive people; it takes courage to love people; it takes courage to believe in something we cannot prove exists.

There are many times when the world will make this even more difficult. There are times when you will feel dumb for forgiving or loving people, times when God will feel so far away you cannot be sure he exists at all.

But Jesus has conquered the world. And so, in these times, you can look to him and be reassured knowing he awaits you in the next life and walks alongside you in this one. Look to Jesus and he will give you the courage you need to maintain faith through all the obstacles you must face.
