DOWNTOWN CHURCH has very few customs, but taking recess is one of them. For as long as most of us can remember, we have hit pause for two full weeks during the summer.

We will not meet for worship on July 2 + July 9.

During those two weeks, we do not gather together for worship at Central Energy. Instead, we do something different. We invite a friend to brunch or we choose to sleep in. We meet strangers at the playground. We take a road trip to explore a different town’s coffee shops and places of worship.

If you’re really, really missing your Sunday rhythm with DOWNTOWN CHURCH, you can go for a walk and listen to the podcast.
